New visa

Prospective students with successful applications will be supported in applying for your student visa (DH type) by TDTU. TDTU plays the role as a sponsor and will submit the visa application with required documents to the authority in Vietnam.

The process of applying for a new visa is also for the current TDTU international students without a DH visa but living in Vietnam with another type of visa.

For the prospective students who have been informed of your successful application:

TDTU will contact the prospective students to prepare for the visa application. 

Step 1: TDTU will apply for the visa for you as soon as TDTU official admission decision is issued. 

Step 2: It takes around 1 week to have the visa result. Once the visa approval letter is available, TDTU will send it to you via email.

Step 3: You will need to bring the approval letter, your 2 portrait photo 3x4 in white background, visa fee (around 150USD-200USD), and your original passport to the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate where you have registered with TDTU to receive the visa.

Note: you should contact the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate to check the visa availability before you come there to take the visa.

For the current students living in Vietnam without a DH visa:

Step 1: You can scan the photo of your original passport.

Step 2: Write an email to the Institute of International Cooperation, Research and Training (INCRETI): admission.undergraduate@tdtu.edu.vn with the following content:

- Request for applying for a new visa.

- Attach the scan of your passport.

- Provide the name of the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate and its address where you will come to receive the visa when it is available.

Step 3: TDTU will prepare for the visa application, submit it to the authority in Vietnam and will let you know about it. On the same day, you must leave Vietnam to your home country or another country where there is a Vietnam Embassy/Vietnam Consulate. Keep contact with us during your stay abroad to receive our notification about the result via email.

Step 4: After around 1 - 2 weeks, we will go to the Immigration department to receive the result. If your visa application is accepted, there will be a visa approval letter. Then we will send its scan to your email. Then, you print it out, bring it with your 2 portrait photo 3x4 in white background, visa fee (around 150USD-200USD), and your original passport to the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate where you have registered with TDTU to receive the visa.
