The tuition fee policy is applied according to the different types of programs as well as chosen courses, but nationalities. In other words, international students pay the same fee as the local students do. Furthermore, other fees such as dormitory fee, admission fee, etc. paid by international students and local students are equally paid. With such attractive policy, plus the competitive costs of living, TDTU could provide an affordable higher education that both Vietnamese students and international students can approach.

TDTU is marked with several campuses located in different areas of Vietnam such as Khanh Hoa, Bao Loc, Ca Mau and Ho Chi Minh City. Known as the headquarter of the university, Tan Phong campus placed in the heart of District 7, Ho Chi Minh City is the main campus among the others and it is also the first destination opted by most local students as it provides a variety of over forty courses as well as sufficient equipment for learning and teaching activities. International students who are admitted to the undergraduate programs will schedule your study in this campus as well. Though it cannot be compared to Khanh Hoa campus with brilliant sea view, or Bao Loc campus with beautiful mountain view, plus the hustle and bustle of the city outside; however, days in and days out at Tan Phong campus deserves learning environment and student life with garden view, green cover, silent atmosphere, and clean space. Significantly, the students are allowed to have an exchange semester to another campus in the training program.

Not only the local students but the international students also wear uniforms for school. As a rule, on Mondays and Thursdays, all students and staffs are recognized with TDTU traditional outfit. Male students appear elegantly with trousers and white shirt while females look gracefully with ‘ao dai’ in pink, the one that can be easily captured in other places in Vietnam. International students can rest assured about your accommodation when you have decided to study at TDTU. With the capacity of over 4,700 residences, TDTU dormitory is known as a good option due to its security and tidiness. The worry about late busses or traffic jam can be forgotten, and you can attend your class on foot in just several minutes since the dorm is located right inside the campus. Moreover, your friendly, helpful roommates will never depress you, but share feelings during your stay.

Language proficiency is an entry requirement for undergraduate admission. Due to the language of instruction of the courses, each program requires the applicant with a specific level. For the undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese language, the undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese language and English language, and the joint training programs with international universities, a B2 CEFR or above of the six levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) based on the evaluation of speaking Vietnamese of international students by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam is a compulsory requirement except the course Vietnamese Studies - Vietnamese language, Culture & Society of which A2 is required. For the undergraduate program taught in English language, only English language proficiency certificate equivalent to IELTS 5.0 or above is the language entry requirement while the joint training program allows you to enter the program if you have an IELTS 5.5 or equivalence.

Annually, TDTU offers international students a number of scholarships covering tuition fee and/or dormitory fee. The scholarship policy is applied for those who choose the undergraduate taught in English language or the undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese language. To apply for a scholarship, the applicant's academic performance of the final year at high school must be at least 6.5 (scale 10.0). Different from the undergraduate programs taught in English language that requires an IELTS 5.0/equivalent, there is no language entry requirement for the application to study the undergraduate program taught in Vietnamese language as a 1-year Vietnamese language course is included.
