Tuition fees scholarships

1. Tuition fees of Standard Program:

1.1. Tuition fees:

To comply with the Decree No. 86/2015 / ND-CP dated October 2, 2015 on the "Regulation of the form of collection and management of tuition fees for educational establishments in the national education system and on the tuition fee exemption, reduction, and support from 2015-2016 to 2020-2021 "; Pursuant to Article 5 of this Decree, TDTU announces the tuition fees for the 2018-2019 academic year of the Standard program for the 2018 intake (average sum for the whole course / year and based on each curriculum) according to each sector and major as follows:

a. Average tuition fees:

  • Sector (1): Social Science, Economics, Sport Management, Law, Hotel, Tourism: 18.5 million VND / year;
  • Sector (2): Natural Science; Technology; Arts: 22 million VND / year;
  • Pharmacy major: 40 million/ year.

- The tentative amount of tuition fee collected of students enrolling in 2018 is as follows:

  • Sector (1): 9.5 million
  • Sector (2): 11 million
  • Pharmacy major: 20 million

- Based on the total number of subjects and students enrolled in the first semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, TDTU will transfer the difference in tuition (surplus or deficit) to the next semester of the 2018-2019 academic year.

- The fees of the following years will be adjusted in accordance with the law.

b. Tuition Fee Scheme:

- Students pay tuition fees on a semester basis, based on the results of study plan registration and the subject registration of students.

- Students are obliged to pay tuition fees according to the notice of the Department for Finance.

- The tuition fees for the 2018 intake are as follows:

  • Admission fee: according to the notice of the admission procedure
  • Tuition fee for the second semester: from 31/12/2018 to 11/01/2018

- Students exchange tuition receipts according to the notice of the Department for Finance

1.2. English and Computer skills:

Tuition fees in English (from English 1 to English 3) and Computer skills are included in the tuition fees in the framework of the curriculum.

a. Concerning English:

Students will take the Cambridge English Placement Test:

- In case the students have the English level equivalent to the levels prescribed in the training curriculum framework or submit valid international certificates, they shall be exempted from studying and paying for the exempted subjects.

- If students have not yet reached the level of English 1, they will have to take English preparation classes and pay the tuition fee separately for these English classes (outside the curriculum).

b. Concerning Computer skills:

Students who have had an MOS certificate with 750 points (Microsoft Office Specialist) will be exempted from tuition fees and paying for the corresponding Computer skills classes.

1.3. Policy of exemption, reduction, support, scholarships, and awards (click here):

a. Tuition exemption, reduction, or support:

- Students in need are entitled to tuition fee exemption and reduction according to Decree No. 86/2015 / ND-CP dated 02/10/2015 of the Prime Minister.

- For students in need or from poor households (according to the Decree No. 86/2015 / ND-CP dated October 2, 2015 of the Prime Minister), the difference between the tuition fee of TDTU and the amount of tuition fee reduction by the State will be compensated by TDTU based on the student's academic performance and morality.

- Tuition support: Students of ethnic minorities from poor or near-poor households as prescribed by the State shall be supported with study expenses under Decision No. 66/2013 / QD-TTg of November 11, 11/2013 of the Prime Minister.

b. Scholarships:

- Scholarships to encourage learning and practice: Students who achieve good or excellent academic results in the school year are considered for scholarships by TDTU.

Only students who have achieved a fairly-good grade and excellent moral performance will be considered for each specific case.

- Scholarships for poor students: students who are from poor households, or in difficult circumstances and overcome difficulties to achieve good results in studying and training will be considered for scholarships.

- Scholarships for students at dormitory: Students who have made many contributions to the activities of dormitories or poor students who overcome difficulties to study and do not violate the rules and regulations will be considered for scholarships.

- Scholarships for students who are officials or children, siblings of trade union officials from the district level upwards; Scholarships for siblings at the same school, or a member of the family of Chairman Ton Duc Thang; or the descendants of former families of the land of Tan Phong campus; or a child or a spouse of lecturers and employees of TDTU, etc. There will be a policy of specific tuition fee exemptions.

c. Awards:

Highly-qualified students in skills (foreign languages, computer skills, etc.), professional subjects, scientific research, or fine arts activities are all rewarded by the school.

The above is a notice of tuition fees for the 2018-2019 academic year of the standard program for the 2018 intake. All related units and individuals are requested to implement these fees.

2. Tuition fees of the High-quality program:

2.1. Tuition fees:

To comply with the Decree No. 86/2015 / ND-CP dated October 2, 2015 on the "Regulation on the form of collection and management of tuition fees for educational establishments in the national education system and on the tuition fee exemption, reduction, and support from 2015-2016 to 2020-2021 "; Pursuant to Article 5 of this Decree, TDTU announces the tuition fees for the 2018-2019 academic year of high quality program for 2018 intake (average sum for the whole course / year and based on the each curriculum) according to each sector and major as follows:

a. Average tuition fees:

The tuition fees for the high quality program of 2018-2019 academic year (average sum for the whole course / year and based on the each curriculum) are in Appendix 1 (xem phụ lục 1). These fees do not include fees for English classes (see Appendix 3- xem phụ lục 3)

- The tentative amount of tuition fee collected for students enrolling in 2018 is as follows:

  • Major: Accounting, Finance and Banking, Vietnamese Studies- Travel major, Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Biotechnology, Environmental Science: 15 million VND;
  • Major: Information Technology; Business Administration; International Business, Law, Technical Construction: 18 million VND
  • English Language: 20 million (excluding English fees)

- The tentative amount of tuition fee for English skills: 10 million VND

- Based on the total number of subjects students enrolled in the first semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, TDTU will transfer the difference in tuition (surplus or deficit) to the next semester of the 2018-2019 academic year.

- The fees of the following years will be adjusted in accordance with the law.

b. Tuition Fee Scheme:

2.2. English and Computer skills:

Tuition fees in English (from English 1 to English 3) and Computer skills are included in tuition fees in the framework of the curriculum.

a. About English:

- Students can choose between 2 English programs: Little UK and Inspire English, which have their own typical traits in terms of methodology, teaching staff, and materials. However, both of them aim to help students get B2 English level in CEFR.

- Students will take an English placement test (excluding English major students)

  • In case the students have the English level equivalent to the levels prescribed in the training curriculum framework or submit valid international certificates, they shall be exempted from studying and paying for the exempted subjects.
  • If students have not yet reached the level of Natural English 2 (for Little UK program), or English 1 (for Inspire English), they will have to take English preparation classes and pay the tuition fee separately for these English classes (outside the curriculum).

- The class levels and the tuition fees of Little UK program and Inspire English program are in Appendix 3 (attached)

b. About Computer skills:

Students who have had an MOS certificate with 750 points (Microsoft Office Specialist) will be exempted from tuition fees and paying for the corresponding IT classes.

a. Tuition exemption, reduction, or support:

- Students in need are entitled to tuition fee exemption and reduction according to Decree No. 86/2015 / ND-CP dated 02/10/2015 of the Prime Minister.
